Begin a prayer ministry in your street
The idea is simple. Draw yourself up a piece of paper inviting people to write some prayer requests on the back. Pop them through doors in your street or another street in the town. Go back a couple of days later and collect them. Then pray.
God moves when we pray.

Praying for the Lost
We can, of course, pray for the lost.
The most striking scripture in this regard is simply where Jesus calls us first to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into the field. This is at the end of Luke 9. But, do you notice what happens at the beginning of Luke 10?? The disciples fulfil their own prayer as they are sent out to witness. This is the first way to pray for the lost...that workers might be sent to the rescue then respond by going!
Secondly, we see some scripture of more specifics. We can pray that the spiritual veil of darkness can be lifted from the minds of unbelievers (2 Cor 3:15-17). Secondly, we can pray that those for who we will pray will experience godly sorrow, because this is the sorrow that leads to repentance! Yes, thats right...don't worry to much about praying that the lost will be blessed...pray that when the veil is lifted they will hear the word of the Lord that will bring conviction and sorrow. However, this isn't human sorrow which leads to death and depair, it is sorrow that leads to life! (look at 2 Cor 7:8-10)
This is prayer dynamite! You'll have a revival on your hands! Get praying!

Prayer Walk
Prayer makes for effective evangelism in many ways, and the next few posts will focus more on prayer evenagelism.
Prayer walking is a great way to pray that God will make himself known to people. As we walk around, we become aware of the things that need praying for, as well as seeing people that we're praying for.
There is also an element of 'claiming ground' as well, recognising that scripture tells us that the sin of a community can taint or curse the land.
The greatest focus of prayer walking should be that God's Kingdom would be established in taht street, that the kingdom of the enemy be pushed back, and that the dark spiritual veil which covers the eyes of unbelievers would be lifted. The act of praying itself pushes back the devil's kingdom!
Go on, get your boots on and get out praying. Why not 'Google' prayer walking for more detailed info.

Community Forums
Many communities have websites with discussion forums. Log yourself on and try to represent the Kingdom there. It may not be appreciated, but it will remind people that God is interested and concerned about our communities. And, guess what? You don't even have to leave the house.
Have a go.
