We can't always help everyone all of the time, but we can help someone some of the time. Every community has families and individuals in need.
Why not try to get alongside a family and support them in whatever way you can. Adopt a family. Talk to them, offer gifts, offer service, offer whatever it seems like they need!
Even if you can't do this by getting to know them, do it anonymously.
