Volunteer at your local Army hostel.

Army social service institutions are more and more being staffed by non-Christians, and because of that, they are unqualified to facilitate the Christian witness of an Army centre.

Your local Officer-in-Charge of the Army hostel/harbour light centre will most likely be delighted to hear that you are interested in coming to volunteer in his/her centre.

What can you do there?

- run and Alpha course
- do some music therapy if you are a bando
- simply hang out with the clients
- if the centre does morning devotions, ask to be added to the rota for leading them, or, volunteer to accompany the singing if you are a musician
- maybe get a group from you corps to do a special evangelistic meeting in the hostel
- invite clients of the centre to Sunday worship and provide transport somehow (keeping safety in mind).
